Santiago gears up for the 2025 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Championship

From October 22 to 26, 2025, Santiago de Chile will experience a true celebration of sport with the 2025 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Championship, the most important track cycling event worldwide. This is the first time the championship is held in Chile, establishing the country as a reference for cycling in South America.

Organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), together with the Ministry of Sports and the Chilean Cycling Federation, the tournament will take place at the Velódromo de Peñalolén, one of the most modern venues on the continent.

A historic championship
For five days, the world’s best cyclists will compete in 22 official events, both men’s and women’s, in disciplines including:

Individual and team sprint

Individual and team pursuit

Keirin

Omnium

Scratch

Madison

Points race

Each day will showcase speed, technique, and precision on a 250-meter wooden track certified by the UCI, designed to reach speeds of over 70 km/h.

Chile makes history
For the first time, Chile will compete in all the World Championship events, marking a milestone for national cycling. The Chilean team will include men and women in sprint, pursuit, keirin, madison, and omnium categories. Prominent national cyclists with experience in World Cups and Pan American Games are expected to participate.

Wednesday, October 22:
Opening ceremony and first qualifying rounds.

Thursday, October 23 to Saturday, October 25: Sprint, pursuit, and keirin competitions.

Sunday, October 26: Omnium and madison finals, followed by the official closing.

Tickets will be available through official channels announced at www.ucichile2025.org/ and will include daily sessions as well as passes for the entire championship.
